Szczawnica Health Resort has at its disposal twelve mineral water sources. These are hydrogencarbonate, sodium, iodide, bromide waters rich with mineral salts and microelements. They are mostly recommended in treatment of: respiratory tracts, gastritis, obstruction, gout, atherosclerosis and osteoporosis. Drinking mineral waters of Szczawnica can be consumed in Pumproom ,,Helenka” at Dietl’s Square in Zdrojowa street. They can be purchased in special packages. The most popular mineral waters of Szczawnica are:
,,Stefan” - recommended in treatment of respiratory disease but inadvisable in case of hyperacidic stomach. The source in known from 1822. The name derives from Stefan Szalay, the founder of Szczawnica health resort. Mineral ingredients: bicarbonates, chlorine, sodium, iodine.
,,Józefina” - recommended in treatment of nose and throat mucosa, inflammations, asthma, pulmonary emphysema, gout and obesity. It is the oldest known source of Szczawnica. The source was found before 1810 and was main source of Szczawnica. In 1828 it was named after Józefina Szalay, wife of Józef Szalay, founder and the owner of Szczawnica. Mineral ingredients: bicarbonates, chlorine, sodium.

,,Magdalena” - recommended in treatment of bile ducts disorder and obstruction. The source was found in 1939 by the female guest who was visiting Szczawnica - Magdalena Kownacka from Ponikwa. Mineral ingredients: bicarbonates, chlorine, sodium, iodine.
,,Jan” - recommended in treatment of respiratory tracts and gastritis, used in mineral baths, for years, it was used in production of ,,Szczawniczanka” table water. The source was found in 1869. Mineral ingredients: bicarbonates, chlorine, sodium.
,,Szymon”- recommended in treatment of anaemia, used in mineral baths. The source was found in 1840. Mineral ingredients: bicarbonates, chlorine, sodium, calcium.

,Wanda” - recommended in treatment of podagra and allergies. The source was started in 1867 in place of two previous sources ,,Aniela” and ,,Helena”. Mineral ingredients: bicarbonates, chlorine, sodium, iodine.
,,Pitoniakówka” - recommended in treatment of digestive system diseases. The source was found in 1952 but exploitation started in 1967. The water intake was reconstructed in 1973. Mineralisation of this water exceeds mineralisation of ,,Magdalena’s” source. Quantinty of mineral ingredients is the highest of all. Rich with sour carbonates and chlorine.
,,Helena” - recommended in treatment of ulcer disease of stomach and duodenum.
Potable curations from ,,Magdalena”, ,,Jan” and ,,Józefina” intakes take place in Pumproom ,,Helenka” at Dietl’s Square. Waters from ,,Szymon”, ,,Wanda” and ,,Pitoniakówka” sources are public. They are available under the Palenica Mountain (,,Szymon”), Lower Health Resort Park over the chapel(,,Wanda”) and at the end of Skotnicka street (,,Pitoniakówka”).
